Prospective law students must carefully consider their law school choices, because the prestige of the JD-granting institution has a substantial effect on employment opportunities after graduation. The most highly ranked law schools typically place the highest percentage of their graduates in jobs that require bar passage. At the University of Chicago Law School, for example, 190 of 196 members of the most recent graduating class received jobs that require a law degree within 10 months of graduation (97%). The University of Virginia School of Law reports that about 62% of its latest graduating class opted for law firm employment, and almost 71% of those alumni worked for law firms with 501 or more attorneys. Graduates of lower ranked programs, by contrast, often encounter difficulties in the job market. The Angelos Law Center at the University of Baltimore, by contrast, has placed just 55% of its graduates in jobs requiring bar passage, and many of those that are employed work for law firms with 10 attorneys or less.
The law schools that produce the best employment outcomes generally expect the highest LSAT scores, and rigorous LSAT prep can therefore facilitate a lifetime of rewards. Graduates of prestigious law schools usually earn salaries that quickly offset the expenses associated with a JD. At least 34 law schools in the United States have been associated with median private-sector alumni salaries of $100,000 a year or more. Manhattan Review's LSAT prep services have taught countless students how to receive the LSAT scores necessary for acceptance to the law schools at Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Columbia, the University of Virginia, Georgetown, the University of Pennsylvania, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, UC Berkeley, the College of William & Mary, and many more. A large percentage of our past LSAT students have completed their JDs and now work for large law firms, government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, and public interest organizations. Start working on your future legal career today with Manhattan Review's LSAT prep services in Amsterdam.

Rafael T. grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he was an honors student and quarterback of his high school football team. He completed his undergraduate studies in political science at Dartmouth College, and his JD at Northwestern University's Pritzker School of Law. Formerly a staff attorney at a large law firm, he has a wide variety of experience as a litigator, and has represented both individual and corporate clients.
Rafael moved to Amsterdam in 2014 to accept a job with an international corporation. He has been teaching LSAT prep since his first year of law school in 2005, and his students have been accepted to law schools such as NYU, Duke, Wake Forest, and Washington University in St. Louis. When he's not working as a teacher or lawyer, Rafael maintains a wide variety of other interests. His current activities include studying German language and literature, reading about international politics, and playing rugby.
